Pemvidutide: Two Liver Endpoints, Different Results AXON Research Institute • AXON Peptide affiliation Educational draft • Scientific + legal review pending Silent film with full on-screen captions. Conceptual illustrations, not molecular structures. Pemvidutide research shows why a trial can have more than one important result. The IMPACT study assessed liver inflammation and scarring as distinct outcomes. This randomized phase two study enrolled 212 people with biopsy-confirmed MASH and moderate-to-advanced fibrosis. Its published analysis assessed two primary endpoints at 24 weeks. Pemvidutide met the endpoint of MASH resolution without worsening fibrosis. It did not meet the separate endpoint of fibrosis improvement without worsening MASH at that time. Both findings belong in the summary. Longer follow-up matters, and one favorable biopsy endpoint does not establish prevention of liver failure or overall long-term safety. END CARD Research explained. Not medical advice. Meeting one primary endpoint does not imply the other was met. Biopsy endpoints are not equivalent to liver-related morbidity, survival, or lifelong safety.
